This is a large and very impressive mammoth lower molar that is mounted on a custom steel display stand. This specimen has a very unique and attractive sweeping curved occlusal (chewing) surface that makes it an eye-catching display specimen. Very attractive multi-colored patina. The entire tooth has been coated with a preservative so it will be safe to handle for many years to come. Rock solid and heavy tooth. Mammoth teeth of this size and quality are very difficult to find. Excellent condition, only one area on the anterior edge of the tooth has had a small piece glued back on, only 1" x 2". Exceptional tooth that makes an impressive display.
