This is a very unique and extremely attractive pathological mammoth tooth that is about 30% covered in pink algae staining. The occlusal (chewing) surface shows a clear pathology with crowding of the posterior enamel plates. We've only ever encountered a similar pathology on two other mammoth teeth - very unique condition. This specimen was found in two pieces and has been glued which keeps it from easily being $800 . The tooth stands up by itself and makes a fantastic display. This is truly a one-of-a-kind specimen.
