This is a beyond rare baby mammoth tooth. This specimen is from an extremely young individual and is just beginning to show the first signs of wear. This mammoth was likely just a couple months old at the time of death at the very oldest. A good portion of the rarely seen root system is still intact. Really fantastic and beyond rare specimen - pictures do it no justice, it is much more detailed in hand. Awesome and fascinating specimen.
