This is a beyond rare American lion upper premolar tooth. This specimen features a gorgeous ultra glossy black patina over the entire tooth that the pictures do absolutely no justice. The enamel is near flawless with virtually no wear - this specimen is from a young adult individual. Massive, very impressive size that is exemplary for the species. This is one of only a small handful of American lion teeth that we have ever offered for sale. This is a beautiful representation from an incredibly rare species, it is much nicer in hand than the pictures portray.
