This is a beyond rare baby saber cat deciduous lower canine tooth. This is the baby lower canine that would have been ejected as the adult lower canine developed. This is from a quite young individual as evidenced by the amount and thickness of the root that is present; as the animal ages and the adult canine develops the root is dissolved. The enamel is 100% intact with an attractive glossy patina. This is a great example of a fantastically rare jaw position from a rare and highly desirable species - the king of the ice age: The iconic Smilodon.
