This is a beyond rare giant short-faced bear upper canine. This is one of only a very small handful of Arctodus teeth that we have ever offered for sale - and this is only the second complete Arctodus canine that we've ever offered for sale. This is an upper left canine. It features very attractive glossy patina over the entire tooth, particularly the jet black enamel. This specimen has had the tip glued back on, the seam is very tight and difficult to see in hand - much less noticeable in hand than in the pictures. Incredible and very impressive tooth from an incredibly rare species.
