This is a really exceptional vertebra from the extinct armadillo, Dasypus. This specimen is incredibly well preserved with ultra-crisp features all around. This specimen was found at the well-known Camelot site in Dorchester County, South Carolina. Fantastic example from a rarely encountered species.
