This is a very high quality mastodon thoracic vertebra. This specimen is very well preserved with crisp features all around. It is rock solid and heavily mineralized; it weighs 5lb 14.7oz. Stunning and very impressive specimen. Pictures do it absolutely no justice. Proboscidean vertebrae of this size and quality are very difficult to find.
