This is a massive and very impressive mastodon scapula (shoulder blade). This specimen weighs a whopping 11.5 lbs and is rock solid and very heavily mineralized. It was found in two pieces and has been glued. It makes a very impressive display specimen. Pictures do it absolutely no justice.
