This is hands down the finest gomphothere tusk tip that we have ever offered for sale. It is insanely well preserved with every last detail intact and crisp. Exceptional enamel base with striking ultra glossy patina that runs all the way to the tip. It still has a chunk of matrix attached which aids in display (keeps the piece from rolling), but could easily be removed if desired. It is fully round for the entire length of the tusk. Awesome wear to the tip. Truly incredible piece; a true show piece for a discerning collector.
