This is a very scarce gomphothere tusk tip that was found in a phosphate mine in Bone Valley, Florida. This specimen is rock solid and very heavily mineralized - it weighs 10.5oz. This is a great specimen that is much nicer in hand. This is one of only a small handful of gomphothere tusk sections that we have ever offered for sale.
