This is an absolutely world class bald eagle phalanx. This is the fusion of the metatarsal and first phalanx. It shows a beautiful mottled patina. Highly detailed specimen. Massive size - this is one of the largest we've ever encountered. This is from the "thumb" digit, with the grappling claw. Very uncommon bone to find - these are far less common than the claw cores.
