This is large section of carapace (shell) from the rare extinct giant box turtle. This specimen is heavily mineralized and porcelain-like. Extremely detailed specimen with crisp features. Very attractive glossy patina. This specimen was found in three pieces and has been glued. Great representation from this very rare species.
