This is an absolutely monster sized alligator mandible (lower jaw) with 11 teeth. This specimen is extremely heavily mineralized and truly rock solid - it weighs 1lb 5.5oz. The bone has an attractive marbled blue/grey patina. This is one of the largest alligator jaws that we have ever offered for sale. The teeth were found near the jaw and have been placed into the jaw with replaced roots, if this specimen had all original teeth it would be at least several hundred dollars more. This specimen makes an impressive eye-catching display.
