This is one of the finest mastodon teeth that we have ever offered for sale. This specimen was just starting to erupt beyond the gum line at the time of the animal's death so it shows just the very beginning signs of wear. The enamel colors are vibrant and quite varied. Colors range from burnt orange to green to cream to black. This is an impressive sized tooth that makes a breath taking display. One original barnacle was left in place for character. This is an incredible tooth, there are very few teeth of this quality in existence. We've held onto this tooth for a long time, and won't complain one bit if it stays in our display case.
