This is an exceptionally rare set of three American lion teeth all found at the same site. These teeth are from at least two different individuals, but were all found together in the same cave in southern Texas. This site likely represented a lion den as the remains from at least four American lions were found. These teeth are the lower carnassial (m1), the first lower premolar (p3), and the first upper premolar (P3). The m1 and p3 both show normal amounts of wear for an older adult, the P3 shows very little wear indicating that it came from a fully mature young adult. These teeth are absolutely exceptional with full roots and beautiful enamel. The m1 is really the star of the group with unique stark white enamel. All three are absolutely massive and really dwarf jaguar teeth, as they should. We can count of two hands the number of American lion teeth that we've ever offered for sale, so to say that this group is rare is quite an understatement. This is an exceptional collection of highly desirable teeth.
